SOM Tutoring Program

Tutoring Services offers academic support in a variety of subjects and is free of charge to all Rowan-Virtua SOM students.

Our Rowan-Virtua SOM Peer Tutors are made up of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year medical students that have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

Small group tutoring is available in most subject areas. Students may schedule tutoring appointments by visiting the Rowan-Virtua SOM Student Success Network.

Share your knowledge

Our Rowan-Virtua SOM Peer Tutors are recruited by the Center for Student Success. Tutors must be current SOM students in good overall academic standing. To qualify, you must have:

  • Taken the SOM course for that subject
  • Earned a grade 85, or above, in several courses
  • Earned an overall exam average of 82 or above
  • Met any additional requirements deemed necessary by the Director or Chair of the course

Please note: Rowan-Virtua SOM Peer Tutor positions are Federal Work Study positions. All eligible students must complete their FAFSA form with Financial Aid for the current Academic Year to qualify.
