Why RowanSOM?

Our main goal is to provide residents all the tools necessary for success on their first day as an attending and thereafter, as well as the guidance that is needed to become a leader in their medical community. We attribute our success to the family-oriented, non-competitive learning environment that we foster. We cultivate a longitudinal mentorship between the attending physicians and residents. This provides a nurturing element to grow the residents’ clinical education and creates a lifelong bond that is individually tailored to the residents’ needs. We have a very collegial working relationship with the ED nurses and ancillary staff who have a long history working with residents, medical, nursing, and PA students.

Clinical bedside exposure to high patient volume and acuity, guided by board-certified/emergency medicine residency-trained faculty, is complemented by weekly, interactive didactic training, simulation, and point-of-care ultrasound training by fellowship-trained EM Physicians.
