Performance Outcomes

By synthesizing national board performance data, graduation rates, and residency placement data, we are able to accurately track the success of our students. In an effort to ensure continued student success, pass rates, mean performance, school trends, and national benchmarks are monitored and analyzed to inform the institutional quality improvement processes. The aggregate performance data are shared with Deans and departmental leadership to target curricular improvement in support of our students.

National Board Performance

The Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) is the national examination for osteopathic physicians and each exam level is administered at different stages of medical training. COMLEX Level 1 is typically administered at the end of pre-clerkship training in medical school, COMLEX Level 2-CE during Clerkship training, and COMLEX Level 3 after medical school graduation and during residency. COMLEX Level 2-PE has been postponed indefinitely by the NBOME as of the 2020-21 cycle. For students attending osteopathic institutions, passing the three required examinations is necessary for attaining medial licensure as an osteopathic physician (D.O.).
