Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine +1

Our Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Plus One (NMM/OMM +1) combined residency/fellowship program is designed for osteopathic physicians who would like to enhance their expertise in musculoskeletal disease and health. This additional year of training assists residents in perfecting their osteopathic manipulative skills with the goal to better serve their patients, as well as offer a consultative role in ambulatory and hospital settings.

Is This Program Right for Me?

NMM/OMM +1 residents engage in extensive clinic time, applying OMM to a variety of patients with both acute and chronic disease. In our program, resident participation is encouraged for weekly didactic sessions in which osteopathic philosophy, anatomy, and embryology are presented. In addition to these more traditional roles, residents are also mentored on the path to become teachers of the profession. All residents have the opportunity to prepare and present lecture/lab sessions for osteopathic medical students and house staff, giving our physicians valuable hands-on educational experience.
