Education Focus
Dr. Milani earned her Ph.D. uncovering the mechanism of hemoglobin trafficking in the human malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum. She then transitioned into higher education where she has developed an active teaching style, while being involved in the administration of programs within the division. During her time in higher education she has taught a wide variety of biology related topics including: general biology, cell biology, anatomy and physiology, microbiology and biotechnology. Currently at Rowan-Virtua SOM she has the privilege of lecturing on virology and serving as a Problem Based Learning (PBL) facilitator and Immunology Block Co-Director for the PBL curriculum. In the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, she serves as Program Director for Biomedical Science Program where she works to improve the experience of students and is committed to helping them realize their potential.
