Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation Self-Study
The AOA Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the accreditor of colleges of osteopathic medicine. COCA accreditation signifies that a college has met or exceeded the Commission's standards for educational quality.
The Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine is fully-accredited by the COCA and by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The latest comprehensive site visit occurred in September 2021, which resulted in Rowan-Virtua SOM being granted "Accreditation with Exceptional Outcome" through 2031-2032. The Sewell campus was reviewed in June 2021 and approved in August 2021.

COCA Complaints
The Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) requires that all COMs establish a complaint review procedure to protect the integrity and the maintenance of accreditation standards and procedures as they relate to approved colleges of osteopathic medicine (COM) having recognition from the COCA.
