Residency & Career Advising
The advisors in the Center for Student Success work hand-in-hand with faculty and students to coordinate a wide range of career and match advising programs throughout the year. If you need help writing your CV or personal statement, completing a residency application, preparing for interviews, or selecting a specialty, we have workshops that can help! Our programs are designed specifically with D.O.s in mind and we aim to provide expert guidance to the physicians of the future.
Getting Ready for the Match
Rowan-Virtua SOM students who have questions regarding the graduate medical education application process are always welcome to reach out to the Center for Student Success, where we have dedicated advisors to help you every step of the way!

Transcripts
An official copy of your Rowan-Virtua SOM transcript may be obtained by completing the transcript request form.
We will process student transcripts, which will be sent out to the programs you designate via the ERAS Post Office.
Preparing Your Curriculum Vitae
Your curriculum vitae (also called a CV) will summarize your academic, employment and extracurricular experiences. You will be adding to your CV throughout your professional career so now is a good time to write one if you have not already done so.
There are many resources available to help you prepare your CV. We encourage you to:
- Access CV writing resources on Canvas.
- Participate in a CV writing workshop. We offer them for first- through third-year students during the year.
- Make an appointment with your Center for Student Success advisor if you need assistance creating your CV.
- Submit your CV to somcv@rowan.edu for review during the spring semester of your third year.
