Welcome to Rowan-Virtua SOM Sewell!

Our Sewell Campus offers a unique combination of a medical school and clinical center, creating a dynamic learning environment that provides DO and PA students with an opportunity to integrate their medical education with hands-on experience in our Rowan Medicine offices.

In Fall 2026, the Sewell Campus underwent a transformative expansion that provides both DO and PA students with additional space for hands-on training and tech-enhanced learning.

Features of the Sewell Campus:

The Sewell Campus is located at 1474 Tanyard Road in Sewell, NJ and features state-of-the-art medical education and research space, including an OMM lab, collaborative classrooms, anatomy laboratory, clinical and technical skills lab, and Simulation Center [hyperlink].

The technology-rich east wing includes eight standardized patient rooms, high-fidelity simulators and task trainers, an immersive augmented reality learning environment, a CAE Apollo adult patient simulator, a CAE Lucina maternal-fetal simulator and a Gwen patient with Down Syndrome simulator. These resources provide students with opportunities to develop essential patient care skills, including physical examinations, suturing, splinting, intravenous access and airway management, while building confidence and competence before entering clinical settings.

The clinical portion of the campus includes practices that provide comprehensive medical services in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Behavioral and Mental Health, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Addiction and Recovery Services, Specialty Care, and most notably, the Rowan Integrated Special Needs Center (RISN), which provides care and treatment for persons with physical and cognitive disabilities.
